Who receives the gifts that I purchase?
At Christmas Wish List we give pre-registered parents the opportunity to choose Christmas gifts for their children. The parents get to be the heroes on Christmas morning when each child opens their new gift! The pre-registered families are connected to us through our partners including Calgary Housing, Immigrant Services, The Children's Cottage and other referrals. Any extra gifts are shared with local partners.
Do I need to buy everything on the requested items list?
No, you are not expected to buy everything on the list. Simply use each list as inspiration to choose a gift that the child will love! However, the more gifts you give, the more children we're able to impact.
Do I wrap my gifts?
Please donate all gifts UNWRAPPED. However, you are welcome to donate gift wrap supplies alongside your gifts.
Where do I bring my grocery store gift cards?
You can bring grocery gift cards to the Wish List Team on Sundays or to the EC Office between Mon-Thurs during office hours (9am-4pm), anytime before December 3rd. We'll get them into the hands of each child's family to help them buy food for Christmas dinner.
